The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) invites early-career professionals to apply for the Young Experts Program (YEP)—a unique two-year initiative designed to develop the next generation of global IP leaders. This prestigious program aims to cultivate expertise at the intersection of intellectual property (IP), innovation, and sustainable development, through immersive, hands-on experience within WIPO’s work in Geneva.
YEP participants will gain deep insights into both the technical and strategic dimensions of IP while building leadership and professional skills that contribute to their home countries’ long-term innovation ecosystems.

- Duration: 24 months (February 1, 2026 – January 31, 2028)

⚠ Note: The YEP is not a pathway to WIPO employment. Participants are not eligible to apply for WIPO positions during the program or for one year after completing it.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application submission
- Be available full-time for the two-year duration
- Hold a university degree in a relevant field
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrate strong analytical, research, and organizational skills
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be fluent in spoken and written English
- Have knowledge of, or experience in, IP, innovation, or creative industries
